Easy to apply just rolls on like paint, but 20x the performance and life span. LOW VOC, water-based, almost no odor or noxious chemicals and safe to use in all 50 states and meets all USA environmental requirements. Rejuvenates concrete and asphalt surfaces, making them look ‘like new’, and adding significant life and protection from the elements. Protects against freeze damage from water intrusion. Surface Bond uses special nanotechnology bonding agents to assure a firm bond to your surface and long life. Fully UV protected from the elements and can withstand rain, snow, hail, salt, chemicals, fuels, oils, etc. Can be used on patterned or stamped concrete and asphalt and safe for vehicular and parking lot use. Surface Bond is color-stable, flexible to allow for wide temperature swings, and easily recoatable in the future with little prep other than a standard cleaning.
Fast cure times normally surfaces can be back in service the day after the application of the final coat. (Cooler temperatures may affect cure times).
Each kit includes the Part A shipped in a five-gallon pail (for mixing), can of Part B Activator, and can of liquid Color Tint. All three get mixed together into the supplied pail yielding 4 mixed gallons, and then mixed together using a ‘mud mixer’ and then applied by roller or spray. Long working time unlike epoxy. Standard rollers may be used to apply or use our SURFACE BOND TEXTURED ROLLER to create an “orange peel” effect. Coverage 80-100 sq ft/gal (320-400 square feet per pail/coat). Minimum of two coats is required. Please note that initial coat your coverage will be lower due to the absorption of the surface, but subsequent coats coverage will be higher since the surface is now sealed. ADDITION OF ADDITIONAL COATS BEYOND TWO COATS WILL ADD LIFE SPAN AND DURABILITY. A maximum of five coats can be applied. Coverage may vary based on surface.
Available in a wide variety of colors (CLICK HERE FOR COLOR CHART) and special order colors at varying additional costs: 17 Standard Colors, 22 Signature Colors, 14 Solar-Reflective Colors (these colors are designed to keep surfaces cooler) and 3 Cycle Lane colors in various shades of Green . Please note that pricing will change based on your color choice due to significant raw materials price variations based on pigment costs.
For larger parking lots intended to remain black and just need resurfacing and protection, Surface Bond is available at a lower cost available in Black Asphalt or Solar Gray colors: SURFACE BOND BLACK ASPHALT PROTECTOR/REJUVINATOR.
When applying to concrete, the SURFACE BOND CONCRETE EPOXY PRIMER must be used, see below. Primer is not required for standard, new or good-condition asphalt, but degraded, older asphalt we recommend using the SURFACE BOND ASPHALT PRIMER.
